to the home of Broomfield AFC on the web. Broomfield are a long established club who play in the Southern Amateur League and are affiliated to the A.F.A. Our home pitches are located at Hazelwood and Clowes recreation grounds in Palmers Green, North London, with our own clubhouse (with bar - most important for the post-match de-brief) very nearby. We run six league sides and a Veterans team who play occasional friendly and cup matches. Currently the first team play in top division of the SAL Senior division.

Broomfield also has bowls and tennis affiliated sections, with whom we share the clubhouse facilities.

Team Sheets Update

From this week (8th December) all team sheets will now be posted in the relevant forum topic.  This change should allow greater flexibility with who posts them and will get them up as early and reliably as possible.  As usual if you find any problems with the new system please let me know in the suggestions area.  Cheers.  Andy Hill

Pre-Season Friendlies

2007 Broomfield AGM - Thursday 19th July - 7.30pm at the Clubhouse

The clubs’ AGM is an opportunity for members to air their views on the way the Club should be run. At the meeting club officials are appointed and we would welcome some ‘new blood’ to help in the administration of the club. Discipline, league and cup entries will be discussed.

As usual the Club’s finances will be discussed. We survive by excellent house keeping carried out by certain club officials. It is essential that all players pay their dues. Subscriptions and match fees, including a proposal that everyone over the age of 18, whatever their circumstances will pay a full match fee, will be discussed.

A number of players have outstanding subs or disciplinary fines, which they owe to the Club from last year. These members should settle their debts as soon as possible. 

Please note

·      It is the player’s responsibility to pay his annual sub. to myself, Trevor or their Captain as soon as possible.

·      It is the player’s responsibility to pay their match fees to the Captain, preferably before the game.

·      If a player fails to pay the match fee one week it is the player’s responsibility to pay as soon as possible after the match.

·      It is the player’s responsibility to pay any fine imposed by the A.F.A to John Hitchens.

Pre-Season Training

With the excitement of another football season wearing the proud colours of Broomfield upon us, I would like to invite you, at great expense, to the annual pre season training. Training will start on.

Tuesday 31st July, at 7.00pm
on the Hazelwood pitches
(No changing or shower facilities available)

and will resume as usual at

Aylwood School
on Tuesday 4th September at 8.00pm
(Changing and shower facilities available)

Club Annual Presentation Dinner

The clubs annual presentation dinner will be taking place on Friday 27th April, 7.30 for 8pm

Tickets are £15.00 with £3.00 going toward a raffle
